Layla Woods just moves into town and is a freshman at Drake University. She has good grades, a bright future ahead of her with an english career and a family that loves her. But something gets in her way. #1 she has a secret past that holds back, #2 a mysterious boy that she's very curious about encounters her at the right time. This boy seems normal, but has her mind asking a ton of questions.
With questions comes lies, secrets, and betrayal. Will Layla be able to trust this mysterious boy or will he break her?

One that includes a trip to the past and uncovers a lot of what led their relationship to this point, and possibly move it forward. ~ ~ ~ This is a story I wrote for a competition with the prompt. "Focus on one chapter of a much more complicated and longer story" so it's pretty short, but I really enjoyed trying a new writing style and it was actually quite good for my skills.
