Demi has a bad life. She's been abused since she was little. By her alcoholic dad. She does her best to take care of her two younger siblings, and trying to get through high school. But even after everything she still try's to stay positive. When she gets a scholarship to an early college, and meets cute boy Joe during one of her bike rides. She finally thinks her life is looking up. But it just makes things at home much worse for her. 

Will she be able to juggle school, parents, and boys?
Will Joe be able to save her from her abusive parents?
Or will Demi's life just continue to get worse and worse?
