An unidentified pathogen has infected the residents of an apartment complex in the city of New York. Rainbow biohazard operatives sent in to assess the situation and deal with it. Stand by for extra details.
Official Dead Zone Report: Day 2
Operatives report that the virus is spread through bodily fluids, scratches or bites. Multiple cases of infected throughout complex, one of which is a member of Rainbow, two military personnel, one doctor and 16 civilians. Awaiting new details.
Official Dead Zone Report: Day 5
All contact lost with inside operatives, building quarantined, reports of thousands of infected civilians within the city, city-wide evacuation has begun. Last transmission from operatives: "Attempts to contain the pathogen were unsuccessful, judgement day is here. May God have mercy on our souls."

Back by popular request! The 2017 rough draft of The Virus Within! (Caution: Contains massive plotholes that were fixed in the polished The Virus Within Series. Grammar issues are present, particularly missing commas.) What do you do when you are one of the infected? The virus in my blood is trying to steal my humanity. It alters my very thoughts and reactions. It taunts me by tempting me with desires that it planted in my brain. These bloodthirsty desires would lead to my demise if I ever gave in. I have more in common with the zombies than with humans at this point. Even the fallen zombies accept me as one of their own. Blood is required to retain my grip on sanity, but the sweet-smelling blood from humans is a short path to madness. Human blood is to be avoided at all costs. Humankind around the world was driven close to extinction by the sudden appearance of the zombies, yet small groups of survivors constantly manage to appear and put my control to the test. -------------------------- This is a standalone zombie book. It has nothing to do with A Different Virus. I wanted to try a book with an easily irritated main character and a nutcase secondary character. This confused the team as the White Masks had been wiped out unless they're back. After looking at security footage they managed to find a suspect. The only problem was the suspect was tracked getting a flight back to Iran. If Team Rainbow or the US government sent anyone to grab him things may get fishy. If any US troops or Rainbow operatives are seen it'll be seen as an act of war. In deep need of help they turned to a group of people who didn't have so many rules.
