Imagine a world where there are two organisations pulling the strings for everything. They control who gets elected in politics, and you wouldn't even realise. Everything that happens, is because they wanted it to. However, these two organisations don't work together, they're opposites. Bad and good, if you will.

Heaven's Gate: the organisation that helps people and protects them against the bad of the world.

In all that Xena has sacrificed for her organisation, Heaven's Gate offers her a new higher ranked position... but at a cost. She is to kill Ryder; whom is a part of the opposing organisation.

What she doesn't know is that Ryder was also given the same proposition from his organisation-- Necro Order-- to kill Xena.

Although they were complete strangers, something about each other made them incapable of killing one another. After things go wrong, they decide to run away together, fleeing from their organisations and attempting to escape the consequences of failing to eliminate their targets.

They need to work together and be determined enough to bring down both the organisations. Both of them would have to kill to survive. They will kill anyone or anything that steps in there way from their goal: to bring down the organisations, doing whatever it takes to succeed.
