[WORK IN PROGRESS] In 2022, a virtual reality massively multiplayer online role-playing game (VRMMORPG) called Sword Art Online is released. With the NerveGear, a helmet that stimulates the user's five senses via their brain, players can experience and control their in-game characters with their minds. This is the story of a boy named Asahi Fujimoto and the journey of his avatar, Trexyx, through a wondrous floating castle named Aincrad. Little did any of the 10,000 players know that it would be their prison... and for some, their tomb.

In the distant future of 20XX, a specialized headgear called the "Nerve Gear" is released to the public, designed to immerse the user in hundreds of Virtual Reality Massive Multiplayer Online Role-Playing Games (VRMMORPG) using their five senses. One in particular stood out from its peers, an upcoming game called "Sword Art Online" that attracted the attention of millions; yet, only 10,000 copies have been sold. What looks to be a wonderful world spawned from the genius mind of Kayaba Akihiko, the creator of the Nerve Gear, however soon turns out to be an elaborate ruse since on the first day of public access, players discover they cannot log out, as the game creator is holding them captive unless they reach the 100th floor of the game's tower and defeat the final boss. However, if they die in the game, they die in real life. Their struggle for survival starts now. (SAO x Male Reader) (Published August 9, 2024)
