In 2022, a virtual reality massively multiplayer online role-playing game (VRMMORPG) called Sword Art Online is released. With the NerveGear, a helmet that stimulates the user's five senses via their brain, players can experience and control their in-game characters with their minds.
This is the story of a boy named Asahi Fujimoto and the journey of his avatar, Trexyx, through a wondrous floating castle named Aincrad. Little did any of the 10,000 players know that it would be their prison... and for some, their tomb.

Sword Art Online have been released to the public and a lot of people who bought the game enjoy a open world game where they fight monsters, gather gears and XP's and becoming the best players they can ever be.
