"What will you do? When you find the person you want to take revenge on I mean." He asked me. A small bitter and cold smile spread across my face. "Oh, that's easy." I replied, taking the gun out of my waistband and aiming it at him. "I'll kill him, just as easily as I can kill you right now."
The world has been set in ruins now since a war raged between, and within, the countries six years before. America is now a wasteland of cities. The three major groups of the surviving people left, struggle to decide who has the most power. The Cannibals, the Thieves and the Survivors.
Insomnia is a girl who experienced first-hand how bad the war was. She was torn from her life, her family and betrayed by her closest friend and love. Once the war was finished and left the place in ruins, she had one thing on her mind. Revenge. She waited six years to be ready. Now being forced back into the world, she sees just how wild, untamed and crazy the place has become in six years since she isolated herself. Tagging along with her are two male companions. The ex-cannibal Swift. And the paranoid, twitchy and trigger-happy thief, Trigger.
In this new world there will be blood-shed, tears, carnage, betrayal and death. But will there be a chance of love in all this hell, and forgiveness?
