The divine tree, The Osakehra, guards the Osakeh tribe. It possess divine powers, resulting the tribe to think of the tree as their creator. The Osakehra tracks both, birth and death. A new leaf signifies birth of a new being in the tribe, and a fallen leaf is a prophecy of death.
The first twins born in the tribe, Alek and Alaira, set out on a mission of guarding The Holy Tree, and soon find out that one of the two leaves of The Osakehra that represented them, has fallen off.
