Skye Atkins and her pet snake, Basilisk,  lived their entire life hiding from the heroes of the world. Even though she was considered as one of the most powerful villains, she did everything she could to avoid meeting a hero. When the man who killed her family was assassinated, she finally believed that she would live a free life. But not long after the news did she find out that the force that was killing the heroes wasn't on her side either. 

When war seemed inevitable, the remaining handful of villains and heroes realised that if they wanted to survive, they had to unite into a single force...for the first time ever.

The dagger had a clean, sharp blade. The handle was as black as the shadows he commanded. He held the dagger to my neck. I could feel the cold blade against my skin. It seemed so close that it would cut me if I even swallowed. "Try to free her and she's dead in an instant. I don't think you want an innocent person's blood on your hands." * * * * * Kefira thought she was just a normal teenager. Little did she know. Kefira is part of a few select members of society born with Powers. People with Powers are trained and go onto become Super Heroes, or Super Villains. Kefira must learn to master her abilities, and to get along with the strange voice that talks to her in her mind. Along the way, she meets many interesting people, some nice and some...well, less so. But when a Super Villain comes along, and shows her not all is as it seems, and her new-found friends are keeping something from her, Kefira starts to wonder if everything has been led to believe is true. But among people like Tempest, he is known as another overpowered, overrated hero no one can escape. Not even those blessed with super speed or teleportation can escape him. So, it should be effortless for him to catch her since she has no superhuman abilities. Except it's not. Tempest has a deadly virus no scientist, no government, no god can ever get rid of. So, when she finds out she is being hunted down by not only the hero society but the face of it, she turns to biological warfare. The few other people with the disease would never dare to do something like that, but Tempest would. If it guarantees her coming out on top, she will.
