Have you ever had the urge to be unlike the others? To stand out because you don't wanted to be a part in it from the start? 15 year old Aiyana did. She hated the way her life always was so plain. She had no friends, or at least none who cared if she was there or not. No life at home either, her parents were both dead from a burglary almost 10 years ago. Her oldest brother was in university in a completely different country, and her older sister was too busy with her part-time jobs and her studies to get into Art School. It was only Aiyana by herself all alone. Then, one day, she had a near death experience which lead her to a strange encounter with a spirit hunter named Alexander.

There is a darkness that lurks inside of me. The evil that runs through my veins is a constant reminder of the ruthless killer I once was. But somehow I've been changed. I'm not that person anymore. Unlike before, I can feel remorse for my actions even though guilt doesn't erase the past that still haunts me. I've been given a chance to lead a normal life. A chance to be a son, a brother and maybe more. My name is Mason. My future is undecided. I don't know if it will last. All I know for certain is that none of it will even matter if I can't escape my past. * Please note this is only a five chapter sample of the published story.
