13 parts Complete Ten Seconds Later is a story about Taylor Billings, an ambitious but naive eighteen-year-old who dreams of being a model. With a cookie-cutter idea of success in mind, Taylor works day and night to afford her lifestyle. Her only support system is her fabulous and flamboyant best friend, Stuffy, who interns at a fashion magazine and counts designers as his gods.
Sooner than expected, with some manipulating and arm twisting, Taylor's dreams start becoming her reality. Her life becomes a roller-coaster and, before she realizes it, she's fired from her part-time job in retail, having an illicit affair with the head of her modelling agency, and has a bigger wardrobe than she has space for.
But what Taylor doesn't realize is that big labels come with bigger problems. Soon, she's snapping at stylists, arriving late to shoots, mistreating staff, and meddling with the idea of cosmetic surgery. When ties are tested, Taylor finds herself looking for the right path, only to find that she seems to have lost all of her friends on her journey.
In this story of success and fame, reaching to the top is one problem but staying there is a whole other crisis. When love, friendship, and loyalty shatter, Taylor will be forced to question whether this career is worth all the casualties.
