Harper Lewis lives above a coffee shop. There isn't much too it, except for the absolutely amazing coffee and jolly owner named Joe. Joe is finally trusting Harper to run the shop. He leaves her in charge for exactly four hours and four minutes - no longer, no less.
Sometimes it's hectic - sometimes its calm. Harper never knows what she's going to get. But she does know that it's a little more bearable with Lewis, a recurring customer, at her station.
When Sylvia, another recurring customer, who was one of Harpers only friends passes, Harper takes it upon herself to go through with Sylvia's final wish. With the help of Lewis, Harper fulfills Sylvia's final wish - and learns a few things about herself along the way.
