While she was gone, Naraku arrived planning to kill both girls but due to Reiki's dormant demonic powers and Naraku's recent awakening with his demonic powers, he could not fight off Reiki, and so he sealed her away. Upon returning, Chiyo learns what happened to her best friend and spends the next 50 years making herself stronger all while disguised as a man to make travel easier. Inuyasha is awakened and she searches all over the place for Inuyasha. After teaming up with Inuyasha, Kagome, Miroku and Shippo, Chiyo leads the group to the demon slaying village where she once trained. They find the villagers slain before meeting Sango, who wished to kill Inuyasha who she believed killed her village. After seeing the truth, the group continues their journey to find Naraku and Chiyo crosses paths with the long foreseen true love that Reiki predicted that she'd meet one day, southern wolf demon tribe leader, Koga. That is where Chiyo and Koga's story truly begins... {Mature because some cursing and maybe other themes XD 35 chapters with hopefully a sequel. ENJOY!}

Sasuke isn't really going for the mission though, he's been persuaded to join them by Gaara's new, out of this world teacher, Shine Likstar, and her partner Wally West, and their current hero trainees, Momo, Shoto, Dabi--and now joining them: Bakugo and Camie. They all don't start off on the best foot, and Gaara wonders how they'll make it to Mist without killing each other. Along the way the group runs into Sasuek's old Team Taka, and makes some detours into creepy lairs, all the while trying not to drive each other insane with their crazy hijinks and culture clashes. Not to mention past trauma. But things may heat up when they actually reach Mist Village and find more than they bargained for. [This story is a sort of spin off of the canon story line, and picks up where my shorter retelling of the first show in "New Way of Ninja" leaves off. Read that book first if you want to know how these characters know each other. Otherwise if you just want to jump right in and figure it out, I respect that approach too. This should be a lot of fun. The story is styled to be more Slice of Life/Action, but they'll be ships, funny situations, and angst and drama in plenty for all of you who like a little spiciness with your friendship stories. Promises to be a deep dive.
