When Mark's older brother, Lachlan, turns up dead on the riverside, police state it was a suicide, which makes absolutely no sense to Mark. Mark knew Lachlan better than anyone, Lachlan was not the kind of person to take his own life so suddenly.
After the police make a claim that Lachlan didn't commit suicide and that someone murdered him in cold blood, the entirety of Mark's community is sent into a spiral of panic.
Stricken with grief, Mark is determined to unmask this mysterious killer. With the help of his know-it-all friend, whose father so happens to be a police officer, and his sarcastic but positive best friend, the three will uncover more shocking secrets then they thought they would. Including, the chilling identity of the killer.
