Embracing the idea of becoming a loner, the first few weeks without friends didn't seem all that bad. It isn't until you run into someone in a convenience store you realize that perhaps it was time for you to become sociable again - almost longing for human interaction once more, you played with a seemingly harmless situation. However, it doesn't take long for you to realize you've gotten yourself into something much more severe than a regular friendship. ... ... Emergence, or Metamorphosis if you prefer, has an incredible shock value, but that doesn't mean it's good. I spent a fair amount of time in Japan as a worker. The taboos found in this "hentai" really interested me to explore this twisted alt-Japan. Here's my take on this heart-breaking story since it seems (in my search anyway) there aren't many people willing to embrace the raw nature of this grotesque universe.
