Izuku has a quirk that mimics the devil fruits from one piece put not just one but two. The flare-flare fruit and the gum-gum fruit. The flare-flare fruit gives the power to turn into fire and control the fire his body produces and the Gum-gum fruit gives the user the power to make his body take on an elastic texture giving them the properties of rubber.
but he also has all the down sides of a devil fruit (A.K.A. sinking like a boulder in water that s a foot taller than you. yeah devil fruit users sink and can't float. that is the curse of a devil fruit "for gaining power one will anger the gods of the sea and have the power to swim taken away" end quote.
