Septunis is your ordinary village in Lower Egypt. Best friends Nena and Zalika live there, and life is going on just fine. Until Nena discovers that she is a godling and can host the power of a god. Which is bad news, as magic is illegal. On top of that, she also discovers that she is the only one who can restore the balance between Maat and Isfet. This means that she and Zalika travel to the oldest pyramid, and try to do just that.
NOTE: This is a first draft, and a short(ish) story. It is not by any means perfect. I wrote this for a project for school, and decided to put it on here. Any feedback is welcome. This story is set in Ancient Egypt.

Sands In The Darkest Night
This is a story that took place in ancient Egypt-464BC. In a time of slavery due to the falling away in Israel, many are left homeless and are forced to seek refuge...in Egypt. The Crown Prince originally shrouded in mystery, seemed like an enigmatic yet unpredictable person when Aria first met him and Aria felt an unusual pull to him going to places she shouldn't, meeting with a certain someone she shouldn't... Aria wasn't the strongest in her beliefs as a Jew. But what happens when what started as an innocent draw spiral into something dark, possessive and downright unholy? What happens when innocent fascination turns into fear and a cry for escape? An escape that came in the form of Ahmes. But little did Aria know that she wasn't quite done yet, her faith was revived and her doubts cleared but what happens when she's told to go back, back to the monster in human form who sees himself as god, and help him see... See what? That even God could love a monster, that his love, showed forth even then, extends to all people and that no one, including him, was beyond saving. Cursed Times - Only Yesterday! Sequel to Wattys 2015 winner!
By accident rather than design, Trueth - one of the last European witches - finds herself in an ancient Egyptian civilisation. It isn't quite what she has expected - for one thing this place is as full of magic as it is lacking in decent showers. Instead, there is evil lurking just below the surface of the Nile. Together with the friends and family she found in 'Cursed Times - What Now?', Trueth will need to embark on yet another world-saving adventure. One that hopefully does not end in a romantic shipping-wreck. From pyramids, tombs and temples - as well as a palace governed by a randy fourteen-year-old Pharaoh - her journey will ultimately take her to the mists of the North and towards her people. With or without a man at her side. 'Only Yesterday' can be read as standalone adventure novel, or as part of the 'Cursed Times' Series. Warning: In 'Cursed Times - What Now?' all you needed was popcorn. Now you need something stronger - much stronger! === Copyright information, given the recent acts of content piracy: All copyrights of the texts are mine exclusively.
