Walking home from shopping Shay takes a short cut through an ally. She runs into Asher and his gang members. They let her go after a small "chat".

You know, most people would freak out walking in an ally, afraid they'd hit a dead end, how about some creepy drugged homeless man being in there, or ya know the obvious, death. But for Shay's case that's not it, she expects anything to happen.

So when she runs into Asher and a few of his other members killing a guy she just walks past, or tries to. Then when called out to she finds herself spaced out talking to herself. When she finally snaps out of a trance she put herself in she becomes sassy because one of the members asked if he could "kill her yet".
