"Let's play a game." He announced suddenly. 
 
 "What game?"
  
"I Spy, totally harmless." He smiled.

 "Okay! So, who goes first?" 

  "I'll go first." He cleared his throat, looking around  with a thoughtful expression on his face. His gaze dropped down onto her, locking eyes. "I spy... something dead."

  She looked around, spotting roadkill sitting on the side of the street that led into the woods surrounding her house that was isolated from the rest of the city.

  "That squirrel!"

  "Wrong."

  "But... what else is dead?" She looked at him confused.

  "You."
