Few wonder about the superheroes; always portrayed as handsome or beautiful with amazing abilities to run faster than lightning or control the weather and what not.
No one ever thinks that superheroes are just as ordinary as anyone; perhaps even more so.

For they must fight just that little bit harder for their humanity,

So what happens when a freak storm hits a few kids with bad records? Personalities tend to get... Electrified.

Enter the Misfits of London.

Hal is a famous face around London; the renowned pyromaniac with a history of fire starting.
Erica is less so; first time offender, but shy and quiet and unpredictable.

Old feuds, new worlds, and a love that will last a lifetime... Ever since her dad mysteriously abandoned her family, life on the Clifton Estate hasn't been all that exciting for 16-year-old Marla True. Her Mum constantly works to make ends meet, which means Marla has to put up with gossipy old Bev keeping an eye on her and noisy little half-sister Ribbon. If that wasn't bad enough, her exam results are in... and they aren't good. But at least she has her friends. Asher, the responsible and strong boy who has known her all her life and Ed, the orphaned rebel who loves to stir up trouble. Then there's her, Marla, stubborn, fiery and just plain lost. Life on the estate is same-old same-old, until the senile World War Two veteran, Mr. Pelham, starts freaking Marla out with his staring and rambling, cryptic messages. Is he trying to warn her? Or hurt her? When the bored trio decide to teach the creepy old man it's rude to scare young girls, they learn far too late just how crucial it is to respect your elders. For his daughter, Bridget, has a power unlike anything they've ever seen before and she uses her deadly craft to send them to a place that will teach them the lesson of their lifetime. Bridget has sent them back in time, all the way to World War Two, throwing them into a secret fight for the survival of all magical folk in the world. Marla soon learns what it really means to be a True, and the power her absent father has kept from her all her life... Marla, Ed and Asher are thrown into a world they and their generation have no comprehension of, a world where love is a relic of a life left behind and your only duty is sacrificing all that you have. These three friends are about to learn about a side of World War Two that never made the history books. ***I can't take credit for the artwork, it's called A BREAK IN REALITY and it's by the AMAZINGLY talented Xenobyte on deviantart. Seriously check his stuff out. I'm in love with that imagination.***

-undergoing minor editing- In Book One of the NLTG series, Regina Hayden stumbles her way into Bruce Wayne's car and a new life as his protege, Jet Starling. However, after an incident at a LexCorp warehouse, Jet Starling is transformed into Pyrrha, member of the Light and enemy of the Justice League and the Team. In her first months as Pyrrha, she battles with her ever-mounting rage over Batman's betrayal, the Light who is constantly pushing her to her ethical limits, and her growing attraction to the sociopathic Lex Luthor. Surrounded by lies, Pyrrha finds herself needing to find who she truly is inside. Homicidal-prone villain or used and confused hero? --- "I don't believe you! I don't believe any of this! They wouldn't do this to me! They wouldn't abandon me!" I stumbled to the bed to hold on to something, anything. In the tussle with the two brutes, equipment was strewn throughout the room, including a metallic bed pan. In the vague reflective surface, I saw two red lights staring back at me. Frantically, I scavenged the room for a mirror but only found a glass cupboard door and saw my face clearly. No. Not my face. Her face. It was my features but none of my color. The skin was smooth. Too smooth and white. Colorless, in fact. Except for when my veins began pumping brighter and brighter the more panicked I became. My once grey eyes were now a burning red. My short hair, long. This wasn't my reflection. This was a monster. A demon. I fell to my knees and held my face in my hands as fire began erratically bursting from my skin, only terrifying me more. I felt a hand gently pull my hand from my face and held it tight. I looked up to see Luthor, the surprise calming my sporadic flames. His face was genuinely sad even as he winced from my heat. "Darling, don't fall apart," he whispered. "What am I?" I pleaded, still on the brink of tears. "A god among men." --- Spotify playlist link in profile

"Just because we win the war doesn't mean we don't lose everything in the process." - Joey Magnom --------- Practically everyone dreams of having superpowers. Lift a building, breathe underwater, fly. But at such a cost? Morgan would very happily shove it back to wherever it came from. In a close future, certain children and teenagers suddenly begin to exhibit their own unique superpowers. In order to contain them, keep the secret, and abuse these young adults' power for their own advantage, the government hunted them down and opened camps to train and brainwash these 'supernaturals' in cruel ways. It didn't matter if the child was five or eighteen; they'd take them and give them the same horrible treatment. Morgan was hunted and taken. Rylie was not. Morgan Carter was put in the camps and wasn't able to come out the same way she came in. She became their pet telekinetic/assassin, ready to kill and torture without hesitation and knew how to. She forgot her old life, including her name. Rylie Garner paraded as Light Glider around his city-their own personal superhero-escaping being caught with the help of his friends while trying to find his little supernatural sister, who was taken. But then, their stories began to intertwine. --------- Completed/Being Rewritten
