Angelica Lu was discarded and disregarded as nothing more than nothing itself the moment she was born. She was shoved in and out of foster homes, without an ounce of affection earned until by two, she was adopted. Hopes of the love she was starved of were destroyed by her newfound family. They were no family. They were strangers with the title 'family' which they abused and accused Angelica of not showing it when, they themselves acted foreign. By three, Angelica's tainted childhood would fade entirely after discovering she had obtained a rare uncurable disease which would end her life. She was forced to live behind white walls with machines and tubes coming out of her for the rest of her days, only receiving the kindness of the hospital staff. The only happiness she had were the books she read to pass the time, and finally on her fifteenth birthday while reading a manga, she passed. Expecting a peaceful ending, she was only met with the chance to find the happy ending she only read about.

But would she actually achieve it this time?

Imagine this: you're a perfectly ordinary office worker, stuck in the usual cycle of emails, coffee breaks, and daydreams about living in a fictional world-when suddenly, you wake up after a disturbingly vivid memory of... well, dying. And if that's not strange enough, you find yourself in the body of your all-time favorite villainess from a third-rate novel you read to escape reality. That's exactly the predicament Natalia's found herself in. After her untimely death, she opens her eyes to discover she's now inhabiting none other than Leticia Medicci-the infamous villainess destined for a tragic end in her favorite light novel. A character who, despite being written off as a one-dimensional villain, always captivated her with a strange sort of charm. But now, facing a pre-written demise and with a deep knowledge of Leticia's world, Natalia realizes she has one advantage: she knows exactly how the story's supposed to go... and exactly what she needs to change if she wants to survive.
