Luck has always been something of a strong suit for Benjamin Cooper. Little things, mostly; finding a lost item just in time for its rare, intended use, just barely skirting around a summer monsoon, dodging a musket ball by a hair's breadth, or having the exact amount of forgotten coinage in his pockets to pay a tax collector: standard, in Ben's experience.
