LJ is pretty content with her life; she has many friends, she likes her school, her job, and her home. That is, until she has to move, leaving everything behind, to start all over.
She meets Noah, and they like each other. But when he sees her with another guy, he decides to get a girlfriend so he can forget about her, and it works and he ignores LJ for just long enough for her to get hurt.
It all starts with a chemistry project, and LJ's life is turned upside down and takes a turn for the worst in this story of heartbreak and misery as she suffers through an abusive relationship that she didn't even want in the first place.

A girl who doesn't let anyone in. A guy who lives every day for himself. An inexplicable attraction. Hi all! Some of the topics touched on in this story include LGBTQ, loss of loved ones/death, sexual assault, thoughts of self harm/suicide. Some of these are touched on a lot while other are more implied. If any of these topics make you uncomfortable or are triggers for you this may not be the story for you. My intent is not to offend anyone or bring them down by the things written. I simply do my best to stay true to the characters I create. For those of you who are still interested, this story will be a roller coaster of emotions for you. I say that as a fellow reader who loves getting invested in characters and their stories. This is a story about relationships, friends, humor, love, loss, secrets, heartbreak, family, temptation, limits. Captain of his soccer team, extremely good-looking, having other boys want to be him and girls want to be with him, but there's one problem. He doesn't chase after the captain of the cheerleading squad or the girls who spread their legs open for whoever asks. In fact, he doesn't go for any girl. Instead, he hates himself when his eyes linger on a guy that his brain and heart say is cute. He's gay, and he's having a hard time accepting himself for it. It doesn't help when he wakes up almost naked in another guy's house, let alone in another guy's bed. And to make matters worse, he can't help but fall for the outspoken and extremely attractive Madison who he'd drunkenly went home with and tried to screw. Finally, to add the cherry on top of the crap-tastic cake, Noah is forced to work with Madison for at least six months, or he'll lose his beloved soccer. Nothing could go wrong, right?
