"I love you," he says.

I yank my hands away from him. "Right. You 'love' me. How do I know what that means? How do I know that this 'love' will have enough power over you to make you stay, to keep you here with me? Forever?" I shake my head. "What is it, tell me, this love of yours?"

And suddenly, my hands are in his and he's pressing against me and my back is straight along the wall, and his warmth and smell is suffocating me. His face to right up at mine, his lips too close to mine, and when he speaks, his voice is everything I want it to be. "What is my love ? My love...

"My love is you." His eyes don't stray for mine. "You are my love."

I don't understand it.

I don't get it.

But I get him.

I want to, at least.

And I guess that'll have to be enough.
