Marvel Vayle has been through hell the last couple of months. Her father died, she's distant with her mother, and she's fairly certain her sister hates her. Not to mention her crush, Aiden Thatcher-Ames, doesn't even know she's alive. Marvel is confused and sad, unsure of who she is and what her purpose is. And that's not even the half of it.

She developed the power of Empathy, being able to read people's emotions without her feeling any of her own. Now that she can understand, the real danger is her becoming addicted to the emotions she feeds off of and forgetting who she truly is.

Dedicated in loving memory of my father.

"A gift." One guard says to someone else in the room as he leaves. I groan in pain and scrunch myself into a ball, squeezing my eyes shut. Seconds later I hear shuffling and then someone is beside me. "Y/N?" Asks a voice. No- Bucky's voice. My whole body relaxes and I let out a soft breath. He's ok. ════ ⋆★⋆ ════ Staying together has always been the most important thing to Y/N Rogers. After the death of her mother left her an orphaned 15-year-old, her friendship with her older brother Steve and best friend Bucky mattered more than ever. She latched onto them, finding some bittersweet solace in their closeness. In turn, they finished raising her. The three were inseparable. Even now, six years later, nothing has changed. So when Bucky and Steve both leave to fight in the war the last thing she's going to do is stay in Brooklyn. Nothing's too far if it keeps their trio together. Not leaving everything she knows behind, not shoving down feelings she's refused to acknowledge for years, not even risking her life time and time again. It's the kind of commitment fueled by an infinite amount of love, but guaranteed to end in disaster, every single time. The Ashes That Fell

30 parte Kumpleto Mature

You grew up hearing stories of the Avengers-not the glorified headlines, but the truth. Your father worked in intelligence, and he knew firsthand who the Winter Soldier was. He warned you early: Be careful who you trust. Even heroes can be weapons. Then the Blip came. You were eighteen and lost everything in a blink-your father, your stability, your sense of safety. For five years you were alone, hardened by grief, and angry at the heroes who failed to stop it. When the world came back, so did your father-but the universe took him again just months later, this time with terminal cancer. His last wish was that you find someone who could take care of you, someone who would stay. You didn't believe that person existed. Until the day of his funeral. That's when you saw Bucky Barnes. Quiet, haunted, and watching you like he recognized something buried deep inside you-something he carried too.
