After committing the irreparable, Mischa finds himself in a brand new world, outside the closed off commune (he has heard people describe it as a "cult") in which he was raised. Everything that seems so normal to others is scary to him. He must get used to life without the Keeper, who provided all the answers and protected him, instead with his foster mother, and his new friends at school. Will Mischa ever be able to live a normal life?

Ali Baker did everything in her power to return to her pack, to her friends, and to her favorite place on earth. She enrolled in the town's college as an excuse to come back and be reunited her childhood best friend, only to find he was her mate, just as she had hoped for. There was very little time to celebrate however as she learned he had a girlfriend. It broke her and hurt but soon their mate bond would pull them together at last. It was them against the world, and a vengeful ex-girlfriend. **** 'No! No! No! This is not happening!' Ronan panicked as he spoke to me through our mate bond. I could hear the defeat in his voice as I was taken further and further away from him. 'I want you to know that I love you, Ronan. These past few months have been the happiest of my life. I only wished I could have returned the favor to you.' 'Don't say it like you're saying goodbye.' He was in full distraught now. Ronan's voice was breathy and cracked as he spoke to me. 'I'm not. I know you'll find me again.' 'Yeah, I promise. I'll find you, baby. Hold on, ok?' 'I will. I will wait for you. I love you.' 'I love you too, Ali, more than anything. Please just keep -' Suddenly, I was alone. The mate bond was a funny thing. It had its limits. The bond worked like a rubber band. When we were close to each other, it pulled and strained against us, pulling our souls together and allowed us to hear the other's thoughts. That bond allowed us to feel the other's emotions and pain. It was a fantastic thing to be a part of. However, just like taking a rubber band and pulling it as far as possible, it loses strength before breaking entirely. Warning: Story contain graphic details of violence, torture, sexual activity, and curse words.

Lola, raised to be a hardworking farmer, when all she wants is a bit of agency over her life, the freedom to do what she wants. And yet, she is perfectly willing to let Natalie handle conversations for her. For as much as she wants to be free, she wouldn't know what to do with herself, get meticulously caught up in planning the details and never end up doing anything. And Natalie, who has no personal desires, simply living in moments and finding the best in whatever is going on. Freely engaging with her friends and helping them, as she lacks her own internal drive, the self awareness to know what she wants. After a long childhood struggle with her self esteem and valuing herself, that has become what she "needs," her coping strategy with rough situations. When health complications arise for her, and her friend group is falling apart around her as she can't guide them, she'll have to ask the essential questions that she can't simply answer in a quick sentence. The questions that she has long dismissed as unimportant. Is this what she truly wants, to be solely fulfilled by everyone else depending on her for support? And where does she draw the line?
