Four kids are chosen to join a secret illegal project for an agency in the US government. They are forced to endure various torcher procedures while they are there and are given the task to bring back a group of people that went rogue from Briarwood, the exact place they are trying to escape from. The four create a plan to escape but it quickly becomes messy when the main character Emerson can't figure out who exactly is her enemy and who is on her side.
