Ichan Prison, one of the oldest satellite prisons in the Galactic Alliance, has been run by its inmates for generations and they are demanding sovereignty. Colonel Grimm Heartache, GA Space Marine and leader of the infamous Jump Jockeys, has just been demoted to warden of Ichan Prison to atone for his supposed crimes against the Alliance. His penance, take back the prison.

Against his own personal feelings, he chooses to come back to help protect the Federation. Little did he expect to face his past and a new threat to the Federation within days of starting the project. Note to readers: This story was written twenty years ago. I revisited it and re-wrote it with a better eye after having published 17 books professionally since then. This is a my love letter to Star Trek that I grew up with. Any similarities to what has come out since then are coincidence. I did not add or change any of the story points or ideas in the re-write. To prevent further loss of life and to fight this threat, Humanity once more turned to the KAN-SEN program, managing to scrounge up 7 active Wisdom Cubes from deep storage to fight the threat. These 7 Cubes formed 7 Space Going KAN-SEN who had a very tall order in front of them, identify the assailants, stop the attacks, and bring a lasting peace to the universe. Unbeknownst to anyone involved however, 2 of these KAN-SEN were not pleased with serving human masters.

Neither intends for the arrangement to be permanent or to fall for the other. Survival in space was our only option. The dying earth and its sickly inhabitants forced us to flee to the stars. My father, the commander of the elite group chosen to live amongst the stars, brought me along for the journey. And everything was going smoothly until I unexpectedly woke up on a new planet, one with an ethereal glow and an eerie resemblance to our old home as the commander of the military space force, my father tasked his men with exploring this new world. But what they discovered was far from welcoming. This new planet was already inhabited by terrifying creatures, and they were not happy with our presence. His men fought to survive against these beasts, I couldn't help but wonder why they were so hostile towards us. That's when one of them approached me, defying everything we had been warned about. Instead of attacking, it watched me pick flowers before later saving me from a fiery blast. Now it's my turn to save him. Please read the prologue in the beginning before going to Chapter 1.
