The beautiful Miss Catrìona (Leòideach) MacLeod, is a young woman who lives in the highlands of Scotland however Bonnie Prince Charlie's rebellion has failed and the Stewart Prince has escaped to Skye. With his escape the Duke of Cumberland wanted revenge and to crush every jacobite left, clan chiefs were stripped of their power and kilts and tartan are banned changes are needed in this time and people are leaving. It's the highland clearances and Catrìona has to stay strong to survive through this bleak future of broken traditions and lost dreams.

(Just a warning but this will probably include more adult ideas and be sexist, possibly racist if there are slaves but please remember I am not sexist or racist and these themes in the book are there because it's the 18th century and women were seen as objects and the slave trade and slaves were a huge operation and business. Sorry if this sort of thing bothers you.

The painting I think was by Joshua Reynolds and has nothing to do with the story but represents what Catrìona looks like, also I reasearched before I did this and here is the link for the reasearch,

https://www.nts.org.uk/stories/jacobite-stories-the-aftermath-of-culloden.

I have never wrote any fan fiction before and my grammar will probably be quite bad so I'm sorry about that.

I also looked for Scottish Gaelic names to use and I will just have her last name as Macleod but the Gaelic version is at the top. I hope you may give this a read if it interests you. It will probably go quite slow but hopefully someone will read it.

One Scottish Lass A Regency Time Travel Romance Novella by lisasheaauthor
11 parts Complete
Samhain. All Hallows' Eve. The most mystical night of the year. The time when the veil between the worlds became perilously thin. And with a full moon overhead, this awesome power reaches its climactic height. Sorcha had no time for mystical nonsense - there were enough challenges in navigating the mine-field of her mother's vicious temper and the most important event of her young life. For, at long last, she had left Edinburgh to see the world. She and her mother were visiting the elegant city of Bath. Sorcha was wearing the finest dress she'd seen - and she was stepping into a life she'd only dreamt of. But when Johnny's eyes meet hers, and jealous rivals vow revenge, that delicate layer between what is and what once was rips. It shreds like the fragile thread of one's life. One Scottish Lass is the first novella in the regency time travel romance trilogy. It is 116 pages / 18,000 words. The second novella in the series is A Time Apart. The first two novellas end in cliffhangers, while the third provides a happy ending. The series then will continue in another trilogy - those will be coming out over the coming weeks. These stories are teen-friendly with no explicit language, violence, or intimacy. All proceeds benefit battered women's shelters. Note that for those who prefer reading books in all-in-one form, each trio of novellas will also be compiled as a completed box set once all three are done. It just means you have to be patient and wait for me to finish writing all of them :). For those who prefer to read along as I write, and offer suggestions for me to shape the plot, these novellas are here for your enjoyment! Either way, I'd love to hear your feedback on the storyline and characters.

*EDITORS PICK* "This book has been so amazing I found myself daydreaming about it💖💖 totally worth my time 😃" "This story has had me laughing, screaming, and squealing with excitement. Dexter definitely gives me "dude really?" vibes and I'm so grateful the ending wasn't dragged out. Gaby is painfully relatable and I love her dearly and here I am wishing I had a friend like katya. I don't think I could give this story any more love!!! 💛💛💛💛💛" If you like this book, you can buy it: https://bookgoodies.com/a/B07RD1HRR5 A boy, a girl, a dating guru-what can possibly go wrong?! Gaby's recently split from her boyfriend of ten years and needs to escape fast. Where better than the Highlands of Scotland where she can lick her wounds and recover in peace and quiet? Fate has different ideas in mind. First, there's the rough and ready Jack McAllan who bears more than a passing resemblance to Gaby's favourite fictional Scottish hero. He's an important part of the local community, even if he's failed to impress Gaby so far. Who knew a guy could be so rude and taciturn? Then, there's the mystery of the woman whose home she now inhabits. Kirsty's left too many tantalising clues for Gaby to resist, not least her not-so-secret identity and YouTube fame. But why did Kirsty run, and does it have anything to do with the red-haired Scot who keeps turning up in Gaby's daydreams much as she tries to resist... Featuring kilts, mist-cloaked hills, lochs where the water runs deep, spoilt cats and a little too much whisky, Highland Fling is a sweet, fun-filled romp through Scottish small towns and rural life, finding love, making a fool of yourself and discovering that an overactive imagination leads you into all kinds of trouble... The perfect book for fans of chick lit humour, laugh-out loud romantic comedies along the lines of Jill Mansell, Sophie Kinsella and Jenny Colgan.

In truth, Lady Lavinia Antrucha was nothing compared to her sister, Cassandra. She had neither beauty nor social notoriety. . .but at least she didn't leave a trail of broken hearts behind her. She's the one people go to when they're in trouble and don't know what to do, the one who is supposed to be the stronger of the two Antrucha girls, the one her parents expect will stay with them for the rest of their lives, because what man would want to marry plain, little Lavinia? As far as Ethan was concerned, Lady Cassandra Antrucha could take a long walk off a short pier, but his father's word was law, and so to England he must go to meet his future bride. Can he go through with a marriage when his heart yearns for another? #Wattys2016
