SLAM. The gates closed all around us. The rusted fence covered in blood squished all 200 of us in. I see a lot of worried eyes and screaming children, but I just looked at the puddle below me soaking my converse scattered with holes. The mud was thick and wet, which made our boney feet sink inside of and making it hard to get out of. All the screams stopped, I am confused so I look up to see why. A tall slender man in a black suit and sunglasses (which made sure you couldn't see his eyes) is facing toward us with a rude grin across his face. Many body guards surrounding him (also in black suits) are armed with rifles. The man then spoke in a shaky deep voice, "Welcome to your worst nightmare. Most of you chosen ones won't see living daylight anymore, 150 exactly. So that leaves 50 left… your next step won't be told to you, it will be shown to you." IT lets go of me, my head hits the ground again, no sound echos this time. IT's mouth movies, but my ears ring, so I can't hear IT. Everything is blurry and movies too much. I can't focus on anything. IT looks at me, IT's eyes are all gray. IT smirks and stands all of the way up, towering over me. I pull myself up and wobble away from IT on unsteady feet. I look back to see IT laughing, watching me walk away. I can't hear her terrible laughter, and I don't want... to... I fall over, feeling woozy. My head spins and I sway as I try to stand. I look back again, to see that the fog has covered my path, and I can only see a couple of inches away from my face. I blow out air and fall over. * * * * 13 year old Colten, takes a shortcut through the field next to his house on his way home. But why can't he reach his destination?
