Since the Eclipse War, humans have been forbidden to ever roam the streets at night. They have been taught to fear the consequences of their actions by abiding to the laws enforced by the Sun Troops-Live beneath the unruly night or follow the laws that govern the light.

Luna Bennet has been nurtured beneath the rays of the sun, adhering to guidelines that govern every facet of her life since before the day she was born. She is human perfection in the eyes of the Light Realm, a polished student in the Academy of the Four Lanterns who has followed every decree set forth by a flawless world.

But fate has a strange way of testing Luna when she unintentionally breaks the rules of The Inferno Code by being left alone in the dark. The young twenty-three-year-old never expected to come face to face with a demon in the flesh, much less the fearsome monster of all-A Malefic who brands her with the emblem of chattel.
