[Compilation of Short Stories] "What is love?" I remember my professor once asked us that question. Naalala ko rin kung paano ito sagutin ng mga kaklase ko. Not a Love Story
(Exactly what it sounds like. It's really not a love story. ) "Do you like me?" You're straight forward I forget that sometimes. I open the drink and look at it as if it were the most interesting thing in the world. I sigh, it's a habit now, and take a gulp. "So?" You ask again. I put the drink on a table next to your bed and sit properly. "I don't know." I say honestly. You didn't seem fazed but you did seem a bit confused. "What do you mean you don't know?" I shrug and decide that the floor is the next best thing to look at. "I like you." I laugh at this and see you don't. "Don't say that. You don't like me. You don't." And then, she'd get a full scholarship to her dream university. All was fairly well except for a few things like grappling her feelings towards a long-time crush. Just when Nicky thought she could get through high school without too much boy-drama, a somewhat seemingly love life with a boy or two and suddenly, maybe even three was finally catching up with her during the last few months before high school graduation. She had never thought she could be wrong about a person. And that she could always be wrong about boys... ✨✨✨ Sidenote: I wrote this from November 2010 to April 2011, only a year ahead from the time set in the novel. This was fully uploaded on Wattpad in September 2013 for safekeeping. I hadn't gotten back to it in so many years nor find any means and time to promote it.
