It's said in the story books that all humans have perished from the Earth, thanks to the community of the Forgivenesses that they are all gone. Ron has read about humans his entire life, dreaming of meeting one, but he knows that he never can, for they have been extinct since the early 1820's; the last human being hunted down by his own kind and torchered to death.
It use to make Ron sick to think that the dragons were the ones to kill off the last of the human race, but he soon accepts what happened to them.
What happens when Ron goes for his morning hunt and finds non other than a human.
Meet Ruby, a girl who has been living in fear for twenty-six years. Watching her parents be torn to shreds and her siblings being swallowed hole by other unnatural beings.
What will she do when Ron finds her? What can she do?
