20 parts Ongoing Mature**** some of you might remember this story from a couple of years ago that I actually removed. I have revised and changed the story slightly. A bit more mature and better written this time. And new characters 🫣
Zara isn't the sweet girl the Hell's Riders once knew. Nearly a decade has passed since she last saw them, and the girl they remember is long gone. At nineteen, life has carved her into something unrecognisable - raised by her grandfather and the Albanian fis for her early years, shaped by blood, loss, and prison walls. Now, she's finally coming home to her father, the club's enforcer - and to the ghosts she left behind.
Killian, known to the club as Bear, has grown hard in her absence. At twenty-one, he carries too much - a fractured family, a fading mother, a father unfit to lead, and a club he's struggling to hold together. But when Zara walks back through those gates, the world he's built on discipline and duty cracks. The girl he once promised to protect isn't a girl anymore - and neither of them is ready for what her return will unravel.
Exert:
She stood there a moment too long. So close I could feel the heat off her skin.
When she finally stepped back, she said quietly, "You can't keep doing this."
"What?"
"Bleeding for me."
I met her eyes, voice steady. "Too late."
Her throat tightened. I saw it. Felt it.
She dropped the bloodied cloth into the bowl with a quiet splash, turned toward the door. But her voice came soft before she reached it.
"Don't die for me, Killian."
I didn't say anything.
Because in every language I knew - English, Albanian, silence - the truth was the same.
I already would.
