Taken from the Demona Chronicles podcast, which is a passion project I created to pay tribute to one of animation's greatest (but most underrated villains).  

Demona is an immortal gargoyle, who entered into a Faustian pact centuries ago. She vowed to punish all of humanity for the sins of the humans who murdered her gargoyle family in Scotland in 994.  She roams the world alone, constantly searching for a spell that will bring her husband bacck to life.    

In the year 1513, Demona resides in Florence, Italy, working as an assassin.  She uses her ill-gotten gains to help her prusue an ancient artifact that she hopes will break the curse.  

Meanwhile, a disgraced Niccolo Machiavelli has been sentenced to death for trumped up charges of conspiracy against the powerful Medici family.  He only knows rumors of a mysterious assassin who can fix the problems of those who can afford to pay the right price.
