"So we've never met but our showers are on opposite sides of the same apartment wall so sometimes we're showering at the same time and we sing duets."

Emily lives in a flat with her mother and little sister in the big city of Atlanta (Georgia, USA). She's an ordinary teen with friends and passions and a sweet secret. She sings. Not like in a group or anything, no. She sings in the shower... With a duet partner... A stranger...

This is my first full story! I hope you like it. Great cover by @whitedandelions001, go check her out.

She'd die for love. He didn't believe in love. *** From reading The Love Hypothesis by Ali Hazelwood, to watching 10 Things I Hate About You, to listening to You are in Love by Taylor Swift, Emily Kingsley's life is a sum of moments she has spent after romance. Watching, reading, listening or daydreaming, romance has never failed to comfort this high school junior of 17 years of age. She has her own issues: self-sabotage, lack of focus in studying, randomly popping up acne and not loving the way she looked. But she could forget all that as long as she is reading about two people falling in love and finding their happily ever after. Emily wants a romance for herself too, and she knows just the person for it. Landon McArther, a senior in her school. According to Emily, Landon is handsome, sophisticated, well-spoken and unlike any of the immature boys of her class who didn't get her at all. Landon was everything Emily has always dreamed about and moreover he appreciates her for the person she is. But there's just a teeny-tiny problem. Landon McArther has a girlfriend. While that wasn't in Emily's bingo card, she hopes, prays, and longs for the day Landon will be single (because he is Emily's soulmate, and he has to be) and awaits her chance for romance. At the same time, her seatmate in chemistry, the rumored delinquent, grumpy asshole Nathan Callahan, makes fun of her romantic dreams. Can Emily ever find true love? Completed. A fun romcom that will make you scream and squeal and blush! Lila Daniels has spent all of her life living under the protective wings of her three older brothers, Charlie, Lucas and Tucker or in the gymnastics gym training. None of which resulted in much of a social life. All of that changes though the summer before Lila's junior year of high school when her dad gets a new job in a different state. Being forced to transplant her life to the small town of Romeo without her brothers or gymnastics means Lila is on her own for the first time in her life. How is she supposed to start over from scratch and make new friends now?! The thought of having to meet all new people for someone who likes to fly under the radar is hard enough, but to do it at age sixteen? That feels impossible. As fate would have it, Lila meets Payton Johnson on her first day at RHS who introduces her to Rachel, Kelly and Claire. The five become fast friends. The girls make it their mission to break Lila from her shyness and make Romeo feel like home. Oh, and they also recruit her to join their cheer team which isn't something Lila ever thought she'd feel confident enough to do. Then there's Tyler Johnson. He's the senior football captain, star quarterback and most popular guy in school who happens to also be Payton's older brother. Lila doesn't want to catch feelings for her new besties brother, but quickly realizes you can't really control who you crush on. It's not like Tyler would ever go for her anyways, when he's got so many other girls begging for his attention....or would he? If you're looking for a coming of age love story with strong female friendships, comic relief, overly protective brothers, self discovery, silly small town traditions and a slow burn....then look no further! #1 in "Cheerleader" August 2022 #1 in "Journal" November 2022 #1 in "First Kiss" May 2022 #1 in "Small Towns" May 2022 #8 in " Teen Fiction" June 2022 #2 in "Football" August 2022 #2 in "chick lit" August 2022 #1 in "Teen Romance" September 2022

Darkness cannot drive out darkness, only light can do that. Hate cannot drive out hate, only love can do that. ~ Martin Luther King-Jr. Colton: With a difficult upbringing and only myself to rely on, building a new life for myself wasn't always easy. But Mama K giving me a second chance at life was all a kid like me could ever hope for. She allowed me to flourish and have dreams. So finding my love of soccer and being able to be the success I am today - I owe it all to her. She showed me I mattered. Even so, escaping my past and trying to move on proved tough at times. The darkness was always there. Always lurking around the corner, waiting to suck me in again. Finding silver linings was damn near impossible....until her. Angels on earth. Who knew they existed? Not me. She was a beacon of light, that light you see at the end of the tunnel. Layla, was the angel's name, and she was going to be mine...
