The chief stood still as a tree, pondering for a minute. His expression soon turned to one of anger as well. He stood taller and finally spoke,
“ You speak for your people then?”.
I nodded
He rose and walked away, but turned back and spoke again,
“Very well, if your people come onto our land we will not hesitate to be rid you of a settler. I had hoped to solve this peacefully, but I see the white man only cares for himself, we will go, but heed my warning. I do not make false statements”.
He walked away and his warriors walked away as well. My anger was beyond my ability to control and I wanted to defy him. the woods would not be theirs to control.

Time went past and we abided by their rules and lived without incident, but my people still held hatred for theirs. No one has dared step foot on their land.
For  ignoring an indians warning means death….
