Elexa Phoenix was a soldier/field medic in the Marines. After five years and a major injury that nearly paralyzed her, she was honorably discharged. Though she hated the thought of going home. Luckily for her, she got a job offer to become a Handler/Behaviorist for the new T-Rex that was to be hatched, as well as a part-time on-duty nurse for the one and only Jurassic World.

With a little nudge from her little sister Dakota, she takes the offer and travels to the exotic theme park with Dakota, who also got a job at the park thanks to an old friend.

Elexa hopes that her new job will involve little human interaction with the exception of her nursing work, though with a trio of friendly neighbors. That may be the last thing she'll get...
