What would you do if your hot one night stand suddenly became your coworker?

When Harley Davis's work as a journalist seems to be crashing down around her, she is ready to do anything to fix it. But when her boss hires someone else to also work in her role, she is suddenly very worried it means she'll be getting fired. Little does she know that the person they hired she actually recognizes. It's Ryland Hatcher, or as she knows him, Ry. He's the man she spent only one night with just weeks ago.

As they keep getting assigned to write articles together, Harley is very acutely aware that she needs to outshine Ryland. While Harley tries to outcompete him, she not only has to fight against Ryland's pull towards her but also the nagging question that hovers in the back of her brain: why'd he never call her?
