Since the World War of 2050, every country has been participating in the Isolation Act- where all countries isolate each other for one hundred years in hopes of bringing peace to the Earth.
Now it's almost 80 years in and our fourteen year old protagonist Annabeth is itching with curiosity about the outside world. One day on a school field trip Annabeth spots her chance; she manages to get to the other side of the wall- only to discover that the rest of the world stopped the Isolation Act only two years in.
