This story is Gale's, his outlook on the games, his feelings about his best friend's situation, and his interactions with the people of District 12. The story is set during the time period of "The Hunger Games" (book one of the trilogy). It is written from the perspective of Gale Hawthorne, and does not concern any events in books two and three. This is my first fan fiction, my first "real" attempt at long form prose writing, and my first Wattpad story. I appreciate constructive feedback, but please, no hate. While the characters and some plot points are based off of Suzanne Collins's Hunger Games Trilogy, (which I in no way own the rights to) I have created this story using my own imagination. Raze is a quick, strong boy from the mines. He quickly shows himself just as skilled in combat as the Careers. Nova is completely different. She is little and weak, and used most of her time at home dancing, studying or reading. She is a smart girl, who knows how to survive, as long as no one will try to kill her. While the kids are in the Quell fighting for their lives, Katniss and Peeta is spending a lot of time together. Not only do they have the kids in the Quell to look after, but also the wedding.
