Askova awakes to the normal: stupid people, snowy day, aggravating mom. Her day at school was even more normal. The same old teachers who don't listen to her and the same students who mock her. Askova pleaded that abnormal dead rising from the graves would be a thing: and they should have listened. 

A zombie apocalypse outrages in their town and she must survive with those she meets: and that means her enemies. New secrets are leaked that the government is the one to blame. Others say that it was an "accidental virus". 

Whatever the case, Askova and her friends must learn to survive in the new world, where their breath continues to die inside of them.

She gained a family member, but lost two. She aches to find out why she can never return home again.
