You may ask what I fear most in the world... As a child I would have said the monsters of the night from the mouth of my mother who told me bedtime stories, As an adolescent I would say being alone and as an adult being poor and starving. It is amusing how new fears become more based in reality as the monsters lurk in the dark. Alas the holy lights in your eyes and the prayers resounding in your ears nullify those senses. Blind and deaf to the darkness in ourselves whilst pursuing purity of life, body and mind. Our demons within. Who and what we love perchance be our worst enemy. The man who indulges in carnal pleasures will suffer from Venus's curse and perish as a gambler die's poor. A man in love might as well be deceived as the woman pregnant out of wedlock. These passions bring us satisfaction nevertheless we become the product of our desires. I harbor my own bloodthirsty demon within. My name is Averey Sedgewick Fitzalan. A vampire and my own worst enemy. An original story by LazyCatFish [Emma Rose]

'"I cannot feel this way. You clearly don't feel-" "I do though." He interrupts me. I finally look up to meet his eyes. It holds so much sadness. "Believe it or not but it hurts me every time I see tears in your eyes." His hands reach for my face, one more time and gently wipes the tears off my face. No matter what, the tears keep flowing down. "Please don't cry." He whispers. "You have someone out there just for you. Waiting for you." I whisper softly. A sad smile forms on my face that is now saltier than the ocean bed itself. I try to tug his hand off my face, but his hold is firm. He leans his head down and places it against mine. "I know." His whisper equally soft. "You need to let go. Just as I am." I close my eyes and take in the breeze of ocean that surrounds him and now me. I hear a deep growl just as his hold tighten on my face but it's still gentle.' For the little Raven that was born out the woods, life was only about the survival of fittest. Hunt or be hunted.
