Izuku Midoriya formerly izuku yagi had a good life up until he was diagnosed quirkless. He was neglected and beaten by his own (all might, magnetic and Izumi) family and (1A) friends. Over the years izuku learn how to defend himself in private, read comics from before quirks were around and learning about heroes quirks. One day, while izuku is running away from his tormentors, he runs into the forest to lose them. After he does he realizes he's lost and then he sees a meteor coming towards him. After it crashes izuku feels like it's calling to him, he goes near it and almost in an instant he feels a sudden surge of power and strength he never felt before. Now with these new abilities he will become the next number one hero and symbol of hope.

Izuku Midoriya's life got wrecked after his quirk diagnosis. Quirkless. Nothing more then that. Maybe worthless or something close. Bullied by not just his "friends", but also his own father. After losing so much he runs away from everything. He's left wandering around the streets of musutafu at night. And then he meets eraserhead.
