Nathan Hart is the last person left alive in a charred, dystopian Los Angeles. Alone, he manages to survive for four years in a land of animated death. Most of the world's population has been decimated by a brain eating virus, mutated from COVID 19. It causes its victims to attack and cannibalize other humans, and it keeps them moving even after their heart has stopped beating.

While looting a store one day, Nathan stumbles across Nigel, a tourist from Texas who's been hiding from the virus for four years in a Long Beach hotel. Unfamiliar with the city of angels, he petitions Nathan for help. 

An unlikely friendship begins to blossom between the two males as they make their way across the city in search of a map that will guide Nigel home.
Will the pair succumb to the hungry monsters that now control the planet? Or will they be steamrolled by something far more dangerous; love?
