Isabelle Neville, first born daughter of the infamous Kingmaker, lives for the day she can marry her handsome prince. With the new king falling out of favour Isabelle finds herself an enemy of the crown. Her father plots behind the kings back and she is betrothed to the kings brother. Isabelle has never been happier her father is to make her queen.

George, Duke of Clarence was the most handsome man Isabelle could imagine marrying. Upon their marriage happiness seemed a certainty. But it does not take long for this bliss to turn sour, and Isabelle sees she is little more than her father's pawn, to use as he wishes in his quest for greater power. In her father's plots to place her on the throne of England she finds herself struggling for allegiance, the queen is a witch and the king her husband's greatest enemy. When the country returns to war and her fate is placed once more in the hands of men. Will Isabelle ever see her happiness?
