Growing up is hard. Especially after a loved one passes away. You see their loved ones take it in different ways. For Ashlyn it took her father and because of his death her mother was left just a shell of the women she once was. After 8 months of non communication between the two. Her mothers best friend takes Ashlyn to live with her and her family.
Zach has known Ashlyn his whole life. And wished he could have been there for her more when her father passed. But now that she's living with his family he'll finally get his chance.
Ashlyn has had a crush on Zach for as long as she's known him. It doesn't help that the guest room she's staying in is right next door to his.
What will become of these two love heartbreak betrayal. I guess you'll have to read to find out.

I stood peering over the cold lifeless body that lay before my eyes. I had always thought of death the enemy, but right now, I blessed it upon the person who is now at peace. Sometimes you don't need to be the smartest, or the fastest, but you do need to be wisest.
