But that was before.

Before the war. Before her brother became a king. Before she became more than just a lady of Winterfell, and before Gendry stayed the same- only a bastard, a bastard from fleabottom that never quite learned to stop thinking that the world would give him more than his station deserved. There is nothing for him here, and yet- he'll stay, because she's here, because everything in his life begins and ends with her.
