Adrien Agreste could usually pretend he was fine. He'd never faltered from his regimen of fake smiles since childhood. At twenty-six years old he was an accomplished model with nearly a million to his name. Some would look at him and swoon: a perfect man with a perfect life. What they failed to see were the heartache and the trauma.

As Adrien, he couldn't be anything less than perfect. Everything he did was monitored, everything he did was rehearsed. He was a pawn in his father's game, which came with all the perks of abuse and depression. But as Chat Noir, he could be himself. He could be goofy and silly without being chastised.
