thomas slate; wheels by name, wheels by nature. totally useless from the waist down by a tragic traffic accident when he was only seven, thomas is very dependant on those around him. bradley young, a kind hearted, selfless boy took it upon himself to help thomas make the most of his life. always tied down with the responsibility of looking after thomas, bradley finds it difficult to mix with other kids. but then cindy comes along, with her pink hair bands and bitten down nails and bradley's head over heels.
