Have you ever seen certain things you've read or seen becoming more and more close to things you know. For my town, Jacob Gomez was it. He was our own Boo Radley. Always stayed in his mansion, you rarely ever saw the lights on and no one came in our out. People say they've seen him come out the house to ravage the forest for dead animals, but that was a myth. Some say his wife found him cheating on her and she killed him and stuffed him up the chimney and she skipped town, leaving the allusion he was still alive in his house, again, another myth. But that's how things work in a small town. You need to make up small things to keep it interesting, the same old things, sounds, faces, and places get boring after a while.
Who'd thought one particular face could shake up a whole town.
Selena Gomez; niece of the infamous Jacob Gomez. Her long, brown, curly hair bounching when she would walk down the hall, everyone stopping to stare. She wore relatively the same thing every day to school, went to her classes, then drove a black car up to Jacob's mansion, not to be seen until the next day.
To say she shook up my life would be an understatement. She brought something to me I nevert thought possible. She brought light, but also darkness. She brought familiarity, but also something different. My life's been abundantly different, for the worse, ever since she moved to town and it's taken me a long time to figure out why. It was her.
Selena was the darkness.
She was beautiful darkness.
